Our meeting presenter was Britney Marchan, Assistant Manager and a Naturalist Educator at the South Padre Island Birding Nature and Alligator Sanctuary. She discusses the SPI BNC’s recent Alligator Sanctuary addition, what a "nuisance" alligator is, and how to avoid this situation that does turn alligators into a dangerous animal. She will also go into some incredible adaptations that make this animal a true survivor, while also working to “debunk” a bad rap alligators have received in movies and on television.
