I had fun volunteering last night at Quinta Mazatlan last night participating in my first event of Moth Week this year. I haven't seen this many moths in one night in a long time. Mothing has been slow at home lately, but I recorded over 40 moth species at the park last night. Who knows how many more were there. I didn't get to take photos of all of them while educating visitors about them. We had about 85 visitors including a few TMN members from both local chapters. Two of our Rio Grande Valley State Parks are having moth events this week as well:
Estero Llano State Park
Wednesday, July 27 at 8pm to 10pm
Bentsen State Park
Thursday, July 28 at 8pm to 9:30pm
Friday, July 29 at 9:30am in the morning
